2011 – The Averno’s lake
originally volcanic, today is a place to spend the free-time, from spring to autumn. During this period there are a lot of recreational initiatives curated by local organizations and historical vineyards, the lake is a perfect destination for people who love a slow fruition of the territory. In this place Virgilio tells about the descent in the underworld of Enea to talk with his dead father Anchise. Virgilio talks also about the descent in ourselves, deeply in our spirit bringing forward the Dante’s trip in the underworld. Virgilio describes the use of a hallucinogenic plant, named Ramo D’oro, that was found by Enea in the forest before entering in the underworld to have some advices for the future. The attraction and the strength of "Averno" is given by the relation, mental and historical, between nature and symbol and a long tradition that give power to its evocative strength.
